So Serena spent the summer trying to get her dad's attention. What kind of a father doesn't return his daughter's phone calls? I can't remember from previous episodes what we know about Serena's dad. Why did he and Lily get divorced and how long ago was that? Is there room for another f-d up parent on this show?
