The Wild Brunch
| Rufus and Lily go out for coffee to discuss Dan and Serena. Lily doesn't think Serena needs a new boy in her life right now, but Rufus guesses that a boy like Dan is exactly what Serena needs. |
Poison Ivy
| Rufus goes to Lily, who is chair of the usher comitee, to get Dan a position. |
Bad News Blair
| Lily returns a painting she accidently bought from Rufus' galery through her art dealer. She doesn't think that Alison would like the fact that one of her paintings where on Lily's wall. |
Dare Devil
| Lily visits Rufus because Eric is missing from the center and Serena, who left her phone at home, is out with Dan. She stays there and they cook dinner together while waiting to hear from the kids. When Dan calls to tell Eric is fine, Lily still stays for dinner. |
The Handmaiden's Tale
| Lily brings Rufus to Eleanor's party to make Bart jealous. Rufus kisses her to help make him jealous, and they are both a bit overwhelmed and nostalgic. She takes Bart back, though. |
Victor, Victrola
| Lily shows up in the galery again, and Rufus is kind of mad and confused that she keeps doing that. However he invites her to stay and see an instalation of stars. |
Blair Waldorf Must Pie!
| Dan and Serena convince Lily to join them for Thanksgiving at the Humphrey residence. As it turns out, Alison is back. The dinner is really awkward - the kids find out about Rufus' and Lily's past and Alison finds out that "Rosewood" was about Lily not her. She also finds out that Rufus and Lily kissed at Eleanor's party, and asks Rufus to choose between the two. He chooses Alison, and isn't allowed to see Lily anymore. |
Hi, Society
| Rufus calls Lily even though he isn't supposed to. He talked to her mother and found out why she left him all those years ago. Rufus is glad she didn't leave him for 'him', and tells her that he should have never let her let him go. |
Roman Holiday
| Rufus and Alison bump into Lily and Bart around Christmas. Rufus then calls Lily, apparently to say "Merry Christmas". While Bart is proposing to Lily, he calls to tell her that he and Alison split up and he misses her. Also he has walked all the way from Brooklyn, but he only gets her answering machine. |
School Lies
| Lily comes by to tell Rufus that Bart has proposed and she is going to say yes. She is confused because he changes his mind all the time, and therefore she didn't really react on his phone message. He then shows up at the hotel and tells her he loves her. He tells her to live her life the way she wants this time now that her mom doesn't make her decisions anymore. Rufus kisses Lily and leaves. Later she calls him and they agree to take a trip together. They are both scared in a good way. Lily shows up without any bags because Serena told her not to be with Rufus. She doesn't tell Rufus the reason she can't be with him, but he claims he understands. Lily accept Bart's proposal. |
All About My Brother
| Rufus comes to Lily for advice about Jenny. He goes with her to finnish all her wedding errands. He thinks she looks amazing in a wedding dress she tries on, and things get kind of awkward. She later calls him for advice when she finds out Eric is gay. Rufus tells her she will make a beautiful bride. |
Woman on the Verge
| Lily ends up at Rufus' concert by accident because she dropped Serena off there. When she hears his voice she goes in to see, and thyey look each other in the eyes while he is singing. When the song is almost over Lily leaves and Rufus hurries after her. He stands in front of her and she tells him to get out of her way. But he doesn't and she kisses him passionately and of course he returns the kiss. |
Much 'I Do' About Nothing
| Rufus and Lily wake up next to each other. Bart calls and Lily needs to go. At the wedding Rufus goes to see Lily right before and tries to convince her to call it off. She doesn't. But they tell each other "I love you".

The Ex-Files
| Lily returns from her honey moon and feels lonely because Bart's always doing business. Rufus hangs out with her, but when she wants to watch a movie with him the next day he has to tell her no. She chose to me Mrs. Bass, and he has a girlfriend now. |
New Haven Can Wait
| Rufus runs an errand with Jenny and they end up in Lily's apartment. Surprisingly, Lily is home and talks to Rufus. He tells her she looks beautiful no matter what she wears. |
There Might Be Blood
| Jenny spoils a party in honor of Bart and Lily by throwing a surprise fashion show. Rufus is so mad he almost gets her arrested, but Lily stops him. |
The Magnificent Archibalds
| Lily returns from a trip and as it turns out Jenny has been hiding at the Bass'. Lily tries to fix Rufus' and Jenny's relationship, and her and Eric end up spending Thanksgiving with the Humphreys. |
It's a Wonderful Lie
| Rufus and Lily dance and talk at the Snow Flake Ball, and she tells him she's leaving Bart but that she isn't expecting anything. |
O Brother, Where Bart Thou
| Bart has died, and Rufus tells Lily that this time he'll wait for her. They are about to go on a trip together but then Rufus finds out they have a lovechild together. He gets really mad at Lily and they don't take the trip. |
In the Realm of the Basses
| Rufus tries to find the adoptive parents of their child but is forced to ask Lily about it even though he doesn't want to talk to her. She apologizes and he is still kind of mad, but they decide to go to Boston to look for the adoptive parents. |
| Gone With the Will | Rufus and Lily are in Boston but are having trouble finding the adoptive parents due to the fact that it was a closed adoption. Rufus gets a call that the adoptive parents won't meet with them. Rufus insists on staying anyway, and they get in a fight. Lily can't stand to be there because she thinks Rufus hates her and she is still in love with him. After hearing that, he kisses her and they sleep together. They are in bed talking and are both all happy, and then the adoptive father calls because he wants to meet with them. They meet up and he tells them that their son is dead. When Rufus and Lily get home, they wonder if they are meant to be a family, but then they see their four kids sitting together and take each others hands. They are finally together! |
| You've Got Yale! | Rufus and Lily are all giddy and acting like teenagers in love. Rufus slept at Lily's and they run into Dan and Serena in the morning which is pretty awkward. However they decide to make their society debut at the charity galla at the opera. When at the opera they still act very newly in love and stand around kissing in the middle of the stairs in the opera. Also, Rufus is trying to impress Lily but studied the wrong opera. She tells him that she doesn't care what anyone thinks. Lily is almost raped by Jack Bass and Chuck saves her. She runs into Rufus' arms. The next day they sit all cuddly together in the couch at Lily's reading the paper about the opera event. |
| The Grandfather | Lily is upset after she finds out that Rufus used to date her art dealer Becky. She suggests that they make lists of their past lovers. When it turns out hers is at least twice as long as his, she hides the second half of the list from him. When he finds it they get into a fight and he leaves, but he comes back shortly after and they kiss and make up. |
| Remains of the J | Rufus and Lily have breakfast with their kids (and Chuck) and kind of bond. But Dan is denied financial aid from Yale, and Lily suggests that they move in together so he can sell the loft for money for Dan's tuition. Jenny is really against that so they drop it. |
| Southern Gentlemen Prefer Blondes | Dan and Jenny see Rufus looking at an engagement ring, and since they have never seen him happier they decide to buy it for him to give Lily. He is very happy about it and insists to pay them back of course (even though he doesn't have any money). |
| The Wrath of Con | The Humphreys and Van der Woodsens eat brunch together, and Rufus takes a walk with Eric to get his permission to ask Lily to marry him. Rufus gets everything ready for the proposal, but when Lily gets home he finds out that she is planning to give him money behind his back and that she got Serena in jail. He is really mad and leaves. He asks Dan and Jenny to return the ring. Lily is really sad. |
| Valley Girls | Lily comes over to the loft to talk to Rufus. They kind of talk things out and he gives her advice on Serena and Cece. When she is about to leave she says that she is glad he wants to talk to her and then tries to kiss him but he pulls away. He tells her he is glad they can talk but as for everything else he doesn't know where they stand. She asks if he still doesn't know who she is after 20 years, and he replies that he knows he just thinks she is still figuring it out herself. |
| The Goodbye Gossip Girl | Rufus and Lily run into each other at the graduation ceremony, because they reserved their seats together. Cyrus and Eleanor sit right behind them and say what a beautiful couple they make, and that they should get married just like them. Lily tells them that they are not headed that direction anymore. After the ceremony Rufus apologises to Lily, and she says they both make mistakes and they need to get over it in order to move forward. She then leaves. Later Rufus sits alone at home and calls Lily just as she is entering his door with beers and pot. She wants to do something young and crazy with him because she feels old after watching their kids graduate. They get stoned and talk about old times and why they cant just jump into things anymore like when they were young. Then Rufus proposes with an old Lincoln Hawk wrist band as the ring. She says yes and they kiss. A week later Rufus and Lily are in the penthouse admiring Lily's new (and real) engagement ring. |
