ERIC VAN DER WOODSEN BACKSTORY

Eric van der Woodsen is the son of Lily van der Woodsen and the brother of Serena van der Woodsen. He isSerena van der Woodsen returned home from boarding school (Pilot episode of Gossip Girl). Eric lives with his family and step family (The Bass') at the New York Palace Hotel. He attends St. Jude's School for Boys.

Eric is the only openly gay character in the show. Late in season one, Dan Humphrey saw eric and Asher Hornsby (who Eric met at Ostroff) making out in front of St. Jude's. Georgina Sparks outed Eric in front of Lily and Serena at dinner one night, prompting Eric to come out of the closet. He eventually came out at Jenny and Asher's party late in the first season.

4. Type in a title and description of your photo, then click “Edit Photo Details”.
