Recap of Episode 3.11, "The Treasure of Serena Madre"

It’s turkey time again and the scents of the season are filling the van der Humphrey abode. Too bad the smell of deceit quickly becomes the dominant odor. Lies and pies -- that’s just how we want our Upper East Side Thanksgiving served.

THE GOOD
Item Body:

Initially Blair freaks out when she thinks Eleanor is preggers. (Really? At her age?) Lo and behold, Blair isn’t getting a new sibling to share the penthouse with -- our fave sidekick and partner-in-crime Dorota has more than a Thanksgiving turkey in the oven. We love!

THE BAD
Item Body:

Ouch! The fists start flying at the dinner table when Eric confesses to Jenny that he was the evil force behind her near tragedy at Cotillion. Ah, nothing like (step-)brotherly love. Jenny asks for a simple apology to mend their broken friendship, but alas, Eric tells her to beat it and watch her back. Oh. Snap.

Like daughter, like stepmother. Lily, too, has been up to some devious plotting. Lil wasn’t upfront about her mother’s ailing condition, and stayed months longer away from her new family than needed to nurse her mom back to health. But why? Lil’s momma warns her of the dangers of keeping secrets, and we’re left wondering if this could have anything to do with the mysterious letter from Serena’s dad that Lil’s been hiding. Guess what? S finds the letter!

Item Title:
AND THE JUST PLAIN SINFUL
Item Body:

The downfall of Serena and Trip’s affair begins when they start getting hot and heavy in an elevator in Chuck’s hotel. Chuck tells Nate about the steamy footage, so Nate swipes it for himself and shows it to Maureen. Daaaaamn! Trip’s wifey puts her foot down and demands the affair end. Sorry, lady. Even though Nate begs S to stay for him, Trip leaves with Serena in his limo--and not Maureen. But don’t feel sorry for Mrs. Trip just yet. Lily put the letter from her former hubby (Mr. van der Woodsen to clarify which former husband) into her coat pocket. What a shame Maureen wore the same exact coat to dinner and after an accidental mix-up, this juicy secret lands right into the hands of the wrong person! Dun-dun-DUN.
